Since development of environmental energies industries from 90s, Hangzhou Jinjiang Group Co., Ltd. applied itself to the research and development of the new technology of waste combustion by iso-density circulating fluidized, to undertake comprehensive resource utilization of low-calorific-value fuel such as municipal solid waste (MSW) and waste coal and also to undertake industrialized promotion of such technology. MSW is to be treated through the unshared own intellectual rights of China and totally domestically-made equipment, and a successful business solution of MSW process is created.

Hangzhou Jinjiang Group and International Finance Corporation (IFC) of World Bank have cooperated in June 2004 to jointly invest in the Group’s MSW power plants, IFC also provides financial support and management consulting for the environmental energies industry of Hangzhou Jinjiang Group. The project is the first investment of IFC in MSW processing facilities and it is also the first cooperation of IFC with Chinese private corporations in power generation industry fueled by wastes.

The group has formed an industrial chain management system centered by investment management, project management, operation management and financial management and has completed or under construction nearly 20 resource comprehensive utilization power plants in municipalities in provinces like Shandong, An hui, He’nan, Zhejiang, Hubei and Sinkiang etc. The group is now a group enterprise with the most power plants by waste combustion and the largest capacity of waste treatment in China.
