Hangzhou Jinjiang Green Energy Co., Ltd is located in Qiaosi County in the east suburb of Hanzhou. Authorized by High tech (1999) 1301# file of National Planning Committee, the Group completed the large scale 800t/d MSW cleaning combustion project. The project is a environmental protection high tech demonstration project, it is also a key technology demonstration project designated by the Ministry of Construction in 2001, it is also a key project of Zhejiang province.

In July 2002, after being inspected by Zhejiang Province Environment Inspection Center and Zhejiang Province Radiation Inspection Station (Radiation Inspection Technology Center of National Environmental Protection Bureau),the ash and residue of MSW power plant meets with environmental protection and construction material standards. In Oct 2002, inspected by Zhejiang Province Environment Inspection Center and Germany MPU dioxin Lab, all the main pollutant emission can meet with national environmental protection standards.

Along with the fast development of Chinese economy, urban population increase also accelerates, yet the problem of MSW is becoming more and more severe. According to statistics, the MSW generated for the past few years has been growing at 6-8% growth rate. In the year 2000, the MSW of 668 cities of China has reached the level of about 140 to 160 million tons. At the moment, only 57.3% of MSW is processed, and less than 30% of it is disposed with environmental standard, the current situation is that two thirds of Chinese cities is surround by garbage.

The technology completely copes well with developing countries like China, the budget for various level of government in these countries is usually limited, and the heat value of MSW is quite low. Taking advantages of this technology, corporation can contribute a lot without heavily replying on government subsidies, it also sets low requirement for sorting of MSW based on heat value and composition, the energy is effectively utilized and thus this specific technology has good social as well as economic benefits, therefore, application of this technology truly transforms government activity of MSW disposal to healthy corporate activity.

The project effectively solved MSW from Qiaosi County, Xiasa County and various other area of Hangzhou, MSW is utilized for power generation, not only the environment is improved by the project, but also resource comprehensive utilization is accomplished. It has contributed its effort in Hangzhou’s target of becoming an excellent tourism city.

After completion and acceptance by National Development and Reform Committee, based on the data provided by Hangzhou Environmental Protection Bureau, the actual amount of MSW disposal in Qiaosi has reached 250,000 ton per year continuously, the plant has completely fulfilled its design requirement.
